“More freedom and less intervention. More curiosity and less control.”
WINE BECOMING
Add nothing to the wine and take nothing away from it.
Imposing our own cultural interventions during winemaking denies wine’s authenticity - It separates the soul from the soil, mutes the wine’s honest & unabashed expression, and disconnects provenance from time and place.
Therefore, the term “wine becoming” is more appropriate for natural wine, in contrast to “wine making” which is characterised by intervention and control.
